EVENT INFO! Haanja100 is not like any other cycling event, it’s an unique MTB-event in Haanja upland - marathon in the real meaning of the word. While some 30-40 participants are competing for the prizes, the others are competing with themselves, with their body and soul. TIME AND PLACE Saturday, 3rd of October 2009. Race headquarters (incl. start and finish) is located on the front of the Hotel Kubija in Võru town. ROUTE Race for MAD ONES: 100+ kilometres with a start at 09:00. The finish for the mad ones will be closed at 19:00.There are 4 feeding stations along the route. The route is one loop. Ascent is at least 1500 meters. Race for INSANE ONES: 150+ kilometres with a start at 08:00. The finish for the mad ones will be closed at 19:00. There are 6 feeding stations along the route. Ascent is at least 2000 meters. The route consists of a 100+ km loop plus an additional 50 km loop. Transfer to the extra loop will take place at the 75 km mark of 100+ km loop. The entrance to the extra loop will be closed at 13:30. Competitors not making the deadline will be directed forward to the 100+ km loop and they will be accounted as contestants in 100+ km race in the final results. NB! Insane ones who free-willingly give up the entrance to the extra loop before the official closure will be registered as abandonees! NB! The organizer will set a control times for last three service points after the finalization of the entire route. The racers not able to make the control time will be considered as abandonees. COMPETITION CLASSES 100+ km race: Men, Woman and Teams (3 members). Deadline for the registration of teams is at 8:30 on the race morning. 150+ km race: Insane ones. Both distances (100+ km and 150+ km) are open for anyone who’s born on 3rd of October 1991 or earlier and are fit enough to finish the race. NB! The organizer has the right to limit the number of participants: - according to the actual weather conditions, - according to agreed terms with the nature protection officials and land owners.

NB! Don’t forget to mention your shirt size and postal address for the DVD. AWARDING 100+ km race award ceremony will take place at 16:00. Awarded will be six best in Men, three best in Woman and three best in Team classifications. 150+ km race award ceremony will take place at 19:00. Awarded will be three best in Overall classification. All finishers will receive a diploma with their time and place. ADDITIONAL NOTES
- everyone will participate the event at their own responsibility;
- helmet is obligatory;
- please do carry with you during the whole race at least a mobile phone, a spare tube(s) and basic tools;
- local roads are open to traffic, thus riders must follow common traffic rules, signs and traffic officers’ instructions;
- In feeding stations will be offered sports drink (you can fill your bottles or hydro backs), fresh water, salt, bread, salted cucumber (pickles), banana, raisins, buns and cookies. You can also get simple technical support. The spare-parts have to be paid in the finish. In case of harsh weather conditions also a bike wash will be organized if possible;
- organizer has the right to establish the opening hours for the feeding stations on the race morning depending on the present weather and track conditions;
- warm meal, drink, saunas and bike wash are available for all finishers at Hotel Kubija;
- seeing someone in need of help, be sure to check and if needed call 112 (overall distress number) for first-aid or +372 511 4179 to the organizer (spare numbers +372 5695 0649);
- organizer ensures transport of abandoned racers only from the Võru-Haanja-Ruusmäe road; in case call +372 511 4179 (spare number +372 5695 0649).
LET’S KEEP IT CLEAN! Please don't throw trash (used packages, wrappers, bottles etc) into the nature. You can put them into the trash-can in every Feeding Station.
